We are like migratory birds

We are like migratory birds
Who have come upon this earth
From some unknown habitat
For ages and ages
To complete the cycle of life and death.

In enormous flocks
We fly across the oceans of time,
Pre-destined by instinct
To land upon a particular terrain,
Build our niche, procreate, nurture off springs,
And glide back to our original abode
Only to wait for the next season to arrive.
